EMBRACE FARM – ACCIDENT REMEMBRANCE SERVICE – 29TH JUNE, 2014

PAC wishes to thank Brian and Norma Rohan for their initiative in organising the Inaugural Ecumenical Remembrance Service for the victims of farm accidents and their bereaved families, friends and neighbours. This came about as a result of their own personal tragedy when Ronan lost his father to a farm accident in 2012.
Tom Murphy, representing PAC contractors, joined Minister Simon Coveney, Minister Charles Flanagan, Eddie Downey (IFA) Bishop Denis Nulty, Pat Griffin (HSA) and other distinguised guests at the service, which took place in the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Abbeyleix, Co. Laois on Sunday 29th June.
The Ecumenical Service was led by  Bishop Denis Nulty (RC) and supported by Michael Burrows (CofI).
Keynote speakers were from Agri organisations, Health and Safety Authority, Counsellors and families directly impacted by farming accidents. Afterwards tea and refreshments were kindly sponsored by the IFA.
In addition to organising the annual Remembrance Service Embrace FARM plan to offer a support network to families affected by farm accidents.  To visit the Embrace FARM website please Click Here.
