National Farm Safety Measure

Martin Heydon, Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture, launched the National Farm Safety Measure, which will provide for a grant of 60% towards the purchase of quad bike helmets and PTO shaft covers. The Minister said this €1.5 million investment by the National Exchequer in safety, will provide for better working conditions, where work can be done without risk of injury or fatality. PAC Ireland is disappointed too note that once again agricultural contractors have been overlooked in this measure. For further information please follow this LINK.
