National Ploughing Championship, 2014

Europe’s largest Outdoor Exhibition and Agricultural Trade Show this year saw the most successful Championships ever, with over 279,000 attendees and 1400 exhibitors. PAC provided volunteers for the Health and Safety Village where thousands of visitors were given useful information in relation to health and safety on the farm, from working with slurry, animal handling, the safety of children, stress and depression and of course the Farming Code of Practice.  There were also excellent demonstrations on the safe use of chainsaws and ATVs along with the dangers of uncovered PTOs utilizing the straw man presentation and the safe use of front loaders.
