Land Drainage Opportunities

PAC Chairman Michael Sheehan and Tom Murphy met with Prof. Gerry Boyle, Director Teagasc, where land drainage was identified as an area where agricultural contractors could expand their businesses.  Indeed at a PAC Conference, Prof. Boyle, said that there would be Teagasc courses available to contractors to equip them with the skills and competence to carry out land drainage in accordance with best practice and the requirements of various bodies.  This course is of interest to agricultural contractors and others involved in land drainage works, agri advisors, planners and consultants. Interested parties should contact Teagasc to register their interest.  PAC encourages contractors to avail of training to acquire new skills to broaden their business base. Investment in such courses is tax deductible and can reap positive rewards.
