“Smart Farming – Contractors and Farmers Working Together” was the theme of the PAC Ireland Conference, where Phil Hogan, EU Commissioner for Agriculture  led an impressive line up of speakers.  In his Keynote Address Commissioner Hogan stated that agricultural contractors were vital to the successful future of farming and would have to be taken into consideration in future EU Policy. This view was supported by IFA President, Joe Healy who said that the farming sector could not survive without professional agricultural contractors.
