Working Safely with Bales

Baled silage is now made on over two thirds of Irish farms. Too many people have been killed and injured when handling, storing and transporting bales. Agricultural Contractors and farmers must remember the risks involved in dealing with all types of bales and the information leaflet produced by the Health and Safety Authority “Working Safely with Bales on the Farm” is well worth a read to remind both yourself and your workers of specific dangers.
