Stop the Spread of Grass Weeds

Grass weeds are becoming increasingly problematic on Irish Farms and we need to do everything possible in order to stop their spread. This can be challenging, but agricultural contractors can be instrumental in curtailing the spread. The key is to avoid carrying seeds from farm to farm by cleaning machinery before leaving each farm. Dermot Forristal (Teagasc Researcher; Crops and Mechanisation) has produced a video and information sheet on cleaning harvest machinery such as combines, balers, rakes, trailers and tractors. We urge all agricultural contractors to follow these links and take the time to view THIS VIDEO and INFORMATION SHEET.
