Fatal Farm Accidents – 2022

As provisional figures are released for 2022, we send our condolences to those who have lost a loved one to a farming accident. It is sad to see that in 2022, twelve people lost their lives in farm related accidents; that accounts for 46% of all workplace fatalities.
PAC Ireland urges agricultural contractors and farmers alike, to review safety on their farms and businesses. There is plenty of online information on all aspects of workplace safety specific to the agricultural sector on the HSA website www.hsa.ie Also Teagasc, in association with FBD and the HSA have released a series of short videos, entitled “Managing Farm Health and Safety”.
