Thieves Strike Mayo Farm Machinery Store

Early on Saturday morning 9th June, thieves struck at the well-known Keanes Farm Machinery store in Balla, Co Mayo, making away with stock valued at around €3,000.
CCTV captured four people wearing balaclavas. One person stood look out at the gate, whilst  the other three broke the front window of the shop.  Although no machinery was stolen, the intruders took expensive radios and a large quantity of drums of oil, diesel and grease.  If you have any information please contact Castlebar Garda Station on 094 8038200 who are currently investigating the incident.
PAC Ireland advises agricultural contractors to review their security and get professional advice in relation to alarms and CCTV. Whilst this may require capital outlay, it is tax deductible and the investment could be much less expensive than falling victim to thieves.
